Seeking for concert arrangements and recording contracts
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a professional musician working and residing currently in my home city of Kiev, Ukraine,
performing with
the "Solomin Band" that I formed in 2004 and where I play the leading instrument, domra.
Previous six years, from 1998 to 2004, I lived and worked in the Netherlands.
During that period, I played about
10 solo concerts and participated
in several TV
and radio programs in that country. All of them were quite successful.
Along with virtuosity of the performance, the unique sound and timbre of domra
was always appreciated. Domra is a mandolin-like instrument with a rich history of musical development,
that allows, unlike mandolin, to play technical very sophisticated and deep compositions,
such as, for instance, Bach solo violin sonatas, Tchaikovsky
violin concert, or Schnittke's
violin sonatas.
It appears that broadening of this performance activity should result in an assured commercial success. I would like to ask you to consider a possibility of organizing for me a series of concerts (solo, or in an ensemble, or with an orchestra).
Other attractive opportunities might include recording production. Last but not least, I compose my own music (I am a member of Genootschap v. Ned. Componisten) and look for ways of presenting it to a wider audience.
Present on these web pages are my Curriculum Vitae, published CD covers and downloadable sample soundtracks. I hope the latter speak the best about my performance skills and composing abilities.
Looking forward to hear from you,
Victor Solomin
